Ted Lasso is funny and is a very character driven show. However, it can take too long to get to the point and it also commodifies sex and marriage. While it shows how Michelle’s selfish and evil decisions impact Ted, it never does it in a way where she is depicted as being bad, selfish, or wrong. At the same time, emotionally vulnerable characters finally get to a point where they get their first date, then it immediately leads to sex. It reduces relationships to emotions and sex, which disgusts me.
